African Development Satellite Initiative (AfDev-Sat) training in Egypt

The CEO, Egypt Space Agency (EgSA) Dr Mohammed El-Quosy hosted his Kenyan counterpart Col Hillary Kipkosgei, Ag. DG KSA at the Egyptian Space Agency Headquarters on the sidelines of the African Development Satellite Initiative (AfDev-Sat) 2-week training happening from 25th July to 5th August 2021. Discussions were centered on how Africa can grow in the field of Space Science & Technology. Also present were heads of delegations of participating countries; Dr. Halilu Ahmed Shaba, DG Nigeria’s National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) and Prof. Samuel Donkor, President of All Nations University (ANU) in Ghana.  Three Engineers from Kenya are taking part in the training.

 The goal of the AfDev-Sat project is to cooperate in developing the level of knowledge and capabilities in the space industry in order to enable African countries build their own space systems.
