Kenya Space Agency Technical team over the past week undertook the maintenance of 3D Printed Automatic Weather Stations (3D PAWS) installed in schools. The 3D- Printed Automatic Weather Stations is an initiative under Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE), which is implemented by Kenya Space Agency.
The GLOBE program is an International Science and Environmental Program (www.globe.gov).
The aim of the 3D- PAWS initiative is to enable students collect weather data and monitor weather patterns. Kenya Space Agency (KSA) is using this initiative to promote Geography, Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics (GEO- STEAM) in schools as well as introduce its relationship to Space Science and Technology.
