The President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces, His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, today led the Kenya Defence Forces in commemorating the 12th Anniversary of the KDF Day at an event held at the Embakasi Garrison in Nairobi.
The commemoration was observed through a series of events including laying of wreaths at the Monument of KDF heroes, static display by Semi Autonomous Government Agencies, KDF formations and Units, and Arena events.
Among the stands the President visited was the Kenya Space Agency Stand, where he was briefed by Capt Claire Muhungi on the Agency's activities towards developing national space capability and enhancing utilization of space science and technologies in national socioeconomic development.
The president was accompanied by CS Defence, Hon. Aden Duale, the CDF, Service Commanders and other senior government officials.
