Kenya Space Agency Facilitates GLOBE Training At The University Of Embu on 15 October 2022

KSA team together with Professor Rebecca Boger, a visiting Fulbright Scholar from Brooklyn College, USA currently based in Kenya conducted a training for University students that have established a GLOBE Club at the University of Embu. The training demonstrated how to undertake scientific observation, record and analyze the data.

Global learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) is a science and education program that connects students, teachers and Citizen Scientist from around the world to participate in data collection and scientific process to understand the Environment.

Data collection is critical to provide researchers with crucial information that is used to calibrate and validate remotely sensed data. KSA is keen to support GLOBE Program in Kenya to promote to Geography, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Geo-STEMS) in institutions of learning in Kenya. KSA team comprised of Charles Mwangi, Faith Wanjiru, Peter Okello and Guyo Boru.
