KSA Space Club visited Juja Preparatory and Senior School in Kiambu County for STEM Outreach programme on 7 Sep 2022.
The Outreach programme exposed the students to STEM education and related careers, inquiry based learning through practical activities to inspire and encourage young people to pursue STEM subjects to advanced levels.
Over 300 students got an opportunity to learn from our experts on lessons in four areas of focus, which are the pillars of the Space Sector in the country.
These are Earth Observation, Space Systems Engineering, Astronomy and Space Science and Information Technology. Facilitated by specialists in these sectors the students had topical lessons followed by career guidance and an introduction to the core values of Space Club. They were also taken through a tour of the solar system (in the Planetarium)
The team was led by Ag. Deputy Director in-charge of Research and Innovation at KSA, Mr. Jacques Matara.
