This morning the DG KSA, Brig. Hillary Kipkosgey attended the opening ceremony of the Space UNGANA 2023 3-Day conference at JKUAT.
In his remarks, the DG thanked the organisers of the conference as well as the speakers and participants for their efforts and commitment in advancing the outer space conversation in Africa.
Brig. Kipkosgey highlighted some of the Agency's key focus areas in the space sector as being; the development of the national space capacity in the African context, the development & implementation of the Kenya national space policy and legal frameworks and fostering national, regional and international collaborations and partnerships with space sector players.
In attendance were Dr Claire Nelson- Futures forum founder, prof Jackson Kwanza- DVC RPE(research, production & extension), Eng Charles Kabubo - VC rep., Mr Meshack Kinyua, space education officer Africa Union among others.
