Kenya Space Agency Launches Strategic Plan 2023-207

On Monday, 13 May 2024, the Kenya Space Agency marked a significant milestone as we successfully unveiled the KSA Strategic Plan 2023-2027. This Strategic Plan charts the path for the Agency's aspirations of nurturing Kenya's budding space economy and tapping into the potential of space technologies in addressing our societal needs and contributing to Kenya’s national development over the five-year period.

The strategic plan is anchored on our vision of propagating the "Effective utilization of space capabilities for national development." The strategic plan has prioritized six (6) key focus areas in the implementation of Kenya’s space programme in the period 2023-2027:

- Coordination and Regulation of Space Activities
- ⁠National Space Capability Development
- ⁠Utilization of Space Services and Technologies
- ⁠Space Research, Innovation and Development
- Resource Mobilization⁠
- Strengthening Institutional Capacity⁠

We extend our warmest gratitude to our Chief Guest the CS Defence Hon. Adan Duale, the Senior Leadership of the Ministry of Defence and Kenya Defence Forces and all distinguished guests who graced the occasion today. Sincere appreciation to our stakeholders who have played a significant role in the development and validation of the Strategic Plan.

With the unequivocal support of our stakeholders, we stand poised to explore possibilities beyond our skies and enable Kenya to tap into opportunities proffered by space.
