Ms. Agnes Yobterik, OGW 

Alternate to PS Environment and Climate Change

Agnes Yobterik, OGW holds a Master’s Degree in Forestry from the University of Toronto, Canada and two Bachelor’s Degrees; BSc in Forestry from Moi University and BA Development Studies from Kimmage DSC of Ireland / MSTCDC Arusha, Tanzania.
Agnes has over 25 years in program design and management and has worked with various state and non-state institutions over the years. She is currently working as the Director, Programs, Projects & Strategic Initiatives, State Department for Environment and Climate Change providing leadership in designing and developing project proposals and overseeing projects funded by the Ministry.
Additionally, she is the National Focal Point Officer for Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC), an organ of the East African Community (EAC). She also serves the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Desk Officer at the State Department for Environment and Climate Change. Kenya and USA have recently entered into negotiations on Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership (STIP) and Agnes is the Team Lead for the Environment Chapter of the Kenya-US STIP.
