German Newspace Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in Kenya

Today, the Director General of the Kenya Space Agency, Brig. Hillary Kipkosgey, joined the Principal Secretary for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Ms. Teresia Mbaika, at the Kenya –Germany Newspace Business Forum in Nairobi. The event brought together a high-level German delegation made up of NewSpace companies and representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs & Energy, German Aerospace Center, German Aerospace Industries Association, and the Federation of German Industries.

The German team is visiting Kenya to explore how the two countries can work together in the space and aerospace sector. The conference also gathered key Kenyan players, including industry leaders and local innovators. This created a strong platform for open discussions about new technologies, business opportunities, skill development, and the future of Kenya–Germany cooperation in space.

Both leaders emphasized Kenya’s readiness to work with global partners to advance its space and Aerospace industry, skills development, and commercial opportunities that drive social economic development.

The conference marks an important step toward stronger cooperation between Kenya and Germany. More meetings and engagements are expected to follow as both countries work toward forming new partnerships and investment opportunities in the space sector.
