Mwango Kitsao Kalu is a highly skilled professional with over a decade of experience in project management, public administration, and civic engagement. He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management at the University of Nairobi, holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Moi University. His educational background is complemented by several professional certifications in project management, political leadership, senior management and governance. Mwango has a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects, showcasing exceptional capabilities in project planning, implementation, corporate communications, and media consultation.
Throughout his career, Mwango has demonstrated a strong ability to handle information, write and edit winning concept notes and proposals, and effectively interact with stakeholders, media, and the public. His professional experience spans both the non-governmental and governmental sectors include a notable tenure as a Personal Assistant to a legislator, where he developed and executed winning campaign and communication strategies, managed a communications and coordination team, and coordinated development projects between different actors. Additionally, he served as a Field Officer for the USAIDfunded Shiriki Project in Tana River County, where he played a crucial role in community engagement, project implementation, and conflict resolution.
Mwango's leadership extends beyond his professional roles, with significant contributions as a board member for various organizations, including the Sokoni Vocational Training College, Elimu Scholarship Community Selection Committee and the Equity Group Foundation's Community Scholarship Advisory Committee. He is also a full member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya and has been recognized for his exemplary performance in civic education and engagement. Fluent in English, Swahili and Giriama, Mwango's diverse skill set and dedication make him a valuable asset in any organizational setting.
