Capt. Munanie Mbatha is an accomplished aviator with extensive experience as a Captain in both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft operations across East, Central, and West Africa.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Technology and with her diverse professional background that includes roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Safaricom Limited. She brings a unique blend of technical expertise and aviation knowledge to her role.
Capt. Mbatha is deeply committed to fostering innovation, mentorship and capacity building to inspire the next generation of professionals and strengthen Kenya’s space and STEM sectors.
She currently serves as the Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee, a position she assumed upon her appointment to the Kenya Space Agency Board
