Kenya & Italy collaborate to establish a Satellite launching and tracking base in Malindi.

1967
1989

Rockets Launched

Over 20 sounding rockets & 9 rockets launched from the Malindi Station.

2009

National Space Secretariat

National Space Secretariat was established. 

2017

KSA is established

Kenya Space Agency established as successor to the National Space Secretariate.

2018

Kenya deploys in first satellite

2018, May: Kenya deploys in first satellite (nanosatellite) into orbit from the International Space Station (ISS). The satellite, (1KUNS-PF), is a technology demonstrator with a low-resolution camera. 

2018

KSA's first board inaugurated
