KSA Participates In Africa Public Service Day

The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) participated in this year’s Africa Public Service Day (APSD), held from 10–12 June 2025 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), Nairobi. The event was held under the theme "Enhancing the Agility and Resilience of Public Institutions to Achieve Equitable Governance and Rapidly Address Historical Service Delivery Gaps."

During the event, KSA showcased a range of innovative space-based solutions that are transforming public service delivery and decision-making processes, particularly in the fields of agriculture, education, and space weather monitoring. The featured innovations included:

✅ Agriculture Information Management System (AIMS)
AIMS supports agricultural decision-making by integrating satellite data and analytics to map areas under cultivation, identify crop types, monitor crop health, and support early warning systems.

✅ Space Learning Made Simple (Space LMS)
Space LMS is a digital learning platform aimed at increasing space science awareness among Kenyan students. The tool offers offline access to space-related content and aligns with Kenya's Digital Literacy Programme and global education standards.

✅ Space Weather Solutions for HF Communications
This tool delivers real-time analysis of solar flare impacts on High-Frequency (HF) communications—critical for aviation, maritime, emergency response, and military operations.

Through these innovations, KSA underscored the importance of adopting cutting-edge technologies to foster resilient, data-driven, and inclusive public service systems. The Agency continues to promote digitization as a driver of efficiency, transparency, and improved service accessibility across all sectors.
