KSA & RIIS Hosts Stakeholders  Co-design Workshop

KSA in collaboration with the RIIS - Research Institute for Innovation and Sustainability successfully hosted a space ecosystem stakeholder co-design workshop at the Radisson Blu Upperhill, in Nairobi on 10 July 2024.
The one-day co-design workshop dubbed “Road to Space Greatness”, is part of the ongoing work on the space innovation ecosystem review and roadmap development which is supported by the United Kingdom International Development (UKID) through the Research and Innovation Systems for Africa Fund (The RISA Fund).

The workshop brought together key stakeholders from diverse sectors for vibrant ideation and brainstorming sessions, focusing on advancing innovation within Kenya’s space sector. Mapping Kenya’s space ecosystem is crucial for identifying stakeholders and understanding the sector landscape they operate in to guide on the necessary interventions needed to grow the ecosystem and attract requisite investment.

The multisectoral dialogue was incredibly fruitful, offering invaluable insights and perspectives that will shape the development of a robust and inclusive innovation roadmap for the future of space in Kenya, with the long-term goal of tapping into the billion-dollar global space economy.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants for sharing their insights, expertise, and enthusiasm demonstrated during the workshop. We believe this will lay the foundation for Kenya’s space greatness…
