On Saturday, March 15, 2025, the Kenya Space Agency (KSA) Education and Awareness team participated in the inaugural International Pi Day, co-hosted by Daystar University and the Scientists Of Kenya Association-SCOKA. During the event, KSA team engaged students and participants in interactive sessions, showcasing the Agency’s activities and highlighting opportunities in the space sector.
The key highlight of the event was the hashtag#STEM Challenge, themed "Numbers and Beyond," which brought together high school students and aspiring innovators from across the country. The challenge offered participants valuable opportunities, including:
✅ Demonstrating their STEM expertise in a nationwide competition.
✅ Receiving mentorship and guidance from STEM professionals.
✅ Gaining recognition and awards for innovative solutions.
✅ Building connections with educators, scientists, and industry leaders.
This initiative aligns with KSA’s mandate to promote space science and technology for national development by inspiring and nurturing the next generation of scientists and innovators.
Additionally, KSA team participated in a tree-planting exercise alongside students and other participants, fostering environmental responsibility among the younger generation.
